Roger Tipton, DDS, MS, PA
Dr. Roger Tipton is a specialist in dentistry for kids and those with special needs (a pediatric dentist) in Lubbock, Texas. After receiving his dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry, he continued his specialty training at Baylor, receiving his master's degree with rotations at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and Children's Medical Center in Dallas. For those French-speaking West Texans, you will feel especially at ease with Dr. Roger since he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in French at Texas Tech University and also speaks French.
Dr. Roger began practicing in 1994 and is one of the few pediatric dentists to have earned his Pediatric Dental Board Certification which is a voluntary effort in continuing education that requires personally treated case presentations for critical review by a panel of nationally respected peers.
It is his goal to make your child's first dental experiences positive for a lifetime of good dental care! Your child may even forget he/she is at the dentist in our fun, positive atmosphere. Safety for your child during dental procedures is also of primary importance and concern to Dr. Roger. Dr. Roger maintains current training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and utilizes the services of an anesthesiologist MD when extensive dental procedures are necessary. Monitors and equipment are on site that exceed the minimum standards required for safely administering sedation.
Dr. Roger is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and past president of the South Plains Dental Society and past Chairman for Children's Dental Health.
Dr. Roger practices with Dr. Nadene, who is a board-certified orthodontist. Together they trained at the New York Medical Center to deliver nasoalveolar molding treatment to newborn patients with cleft lip and palate, not previously available in the Lubbock area.
Nadene J. Tipton, DDS, MS
Dr. Nadene Tipton is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Combined Sciences. She then attended Baylor College of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery along with her Master of Science degree and certificate in orthodontics in 1994. Since then, she has received her Diplomate status with the American Board of Orthodontics, a voluntary effort in continuing education that requires personally treated case presentations for critical review by a panel of nationally respected peers.
Dr. Nadene was named the 49th recipient of the C.T. Rowland Award for Excellence in Orthodontics in 2003. This honor is awarded to the new member of the Charles H. Tweed study group, who displays the most outstanding proficiency in clinical orthodontics. Dr. Nadene is the first woman to receive this award.
Dr. Nadene is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. She has also served as chairperson for Children's Dental Health and was instrumental in securing the dental exhibit at the Science Spectrum.

Outside the office, Dr. Nadene enjoys spending time with her family, playing the flute and gardening. Dr. Nadene and Dr. Roger have three boys. As you can see, together, they are Double T Smiles – Doctors Tipton and Tipton.
Dr. Lowry Schaub
Dr. Lowry Schaub has been a part of the Double T Smiles dental team since 1997!
Dr. Schaub is a board certified anesthesiologist who serves patients in Lubbock, Texas. He grew up in the small West Texas town of Sam Norwood. Sam Norwood is located in the panhandle of Texas near Wellington. He received his undergraduate degree in biology/chemistry from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. Dr. Schaub's deep West Texas roots transplanted him to Houston where he completed medical school at the University of Texas at Houston. After receiving his medical degree, he moved back to Lubbock where he did his medical residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Schaub has been practicing in Lubbock since 1991. He is currently a practicing medical associate of BG Anesthesia and NorthStar Surgical Center. Dr. Schaub maintains up-to-date training in continuing education and utilizes state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Double T Smiles is proud to offer onsite equipment and monitors which exceed the minimum standards required for safe sedation administering. We are proud to have Dr. Schaub on our team when extensive dental procedures are necessary.
When Dr. Schaub is not providing patient care, he can be found on a local golf course or strumming the strings of his guitars. Dr. Schaub married his high school sweetheart, Janice. They have one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Lauren, and one daughter, Leasha.
