We can’t wait to meet you!!! At Double-T-Smiles, we are always excited about meeting new patients! Your initial appointment will consist of a complementary examination by Dr. Nadene and a thorough discussion of potential treatment options. This important hour-long visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. If treatment is necessary, the next appointment we would schedule for you would be for diagnostic records. The records include X-rays, photos and impressions for study models and are necessary for allowing Dr. Nadene to develop the appropriate treatment plan designed specifically for your individual needs.
During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed to gain space?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?

If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to give you a clearer estimate of your costs.
After Dr. Tipton has personally evaluated your records, she will provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem, a written summary of the findings and a detailed plan that outlines your treatment. We encourage questions from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions fully.
