Dr. Roger Tipton
Dr. Roger Tipton is a specialist in dentistry for kids and those with special needs (a pediatric dentist) in Lubbock, TX. After receiving his dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry, he continued his specialty training at Baylor, receiving his Master’s degree with rotations at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. For those French speaking West Texans, you will feel especially at ease with Dr. Roger since he received his undergraduate degree in French at Texas Tech University.
Dr. Roger began practicing in 1994 in Lubbock, Texas. It is his goal to make your child’s first dental experiences positive for a lifetime of good dental care! Your child may even forget he/she is at the dentist in our fun and positive atmosphere. Your child will receive rewards along the way to make him look forward to his next visit.
Safety for your child during dental procedures is also of primary importance and concern to Dr. Roger. Dr. Roger maintains current training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and utilizes the services of an anesthesiologist MD when extensive dental procedures are necessary. Monitors and equipment are on site that exceed the minimum standards required for safely administering sedation.
Dr. Roger is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and past president of the South Plains Dental Society and past Chairman for Children’s Dental Health. He was instrumental in bringing the dental exhibit to the Lubbock Science Spectrum.
Dr. Roger practices with Dr. Nadene, who is a board-certified Orthodontist. Dr. Nadene and Dr. Roger have three boys and one yellow Lab named Lightning. As you can see, together, they are Double T Smiles – Doctors Tipton and Tipton.
Dr. Lowry Schaub
Dr. Lowry Schaub has been a part of the Double T Smiles dental team since 1997!
Dr. Schaub is a board certified Anesthesiologist serving patients in Lubbock, Texas. He grew up in the small West Texas town of Sam Norwood. Sam Norwood is located in the panhandle of Texas near Wellington. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology/Chemistry from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. Dr. Schaub's deep West Texas roots transplanted him to Houston where he completed medical school at the University of Texas at Houston. After receiving his medical degree, he moved back to Lubbock where he did his medical residency training from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Schuab has been practicing in Lubbock since 1991. He is currently a practicing medical associate of B G Anesthesia and NorthStar Surgical Center. Dr. Schaub maintains up to date training in continuing education and utilizes state of the art technology and equipment. Double T Smiles is proud to offer onsite equipment and monitors which exceed the minimum standards required for safe sedation administering. We are proud to have Dr. Schaub on our team when extensive dental procedures are necessary.
When Dr. Schaub is not providing patient care, he can be found on a local golf course, or strumming the strings of his guitars. Dr. Schaub married his high school sweetheart, Janice, and they have a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Lauren, and a daughter, Leasha.
