Why a Pediatric Dentist?
Has your child ever begged you not to leave the dentist's office? Impossible you say? Not at Double T Smiles. It could be our gentle touch and special way with kids. Dr. Roger Tipton, pediatric specialist, and our staff love children and are specially trained to put them at ease. We not only teach your children the proper way to take care of their teeth; also we show them that coming to the dentist can be fun.
This will be a fun experience. You cannot hide your anxiety from a child (children have radar for these things). We will send you a new patient brochure before the appointment that will explain everything. Have fun going through this experience with your child. Your child's reaction to his or her first visit to the dentist may surprise you.
When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms that will allow us to begin dental treatment. For your convenience you may print and complete our First Visit Form prior to your appointment.
The initial exam with Dr. Roger Tipton will last approximately 30 minutes. Oral hygiene instructions will be provided along with suggestions to help you care for your child's teeth. In most cases, our Registered Dental Hygienists will clean your child's teeth at this visit and Dr. Roger will provide an evaluation which will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
